Not so ugly Deuces Wild is called not-so-ugly because it offers a good payout percentage although not a full-pay payout percentage. This version of Deuces Wild, when played with perfect strategy, pays out 99.73%. You might think, since many of the hands pay out more than in the full pay version, that this pay table is more attractive, but the reduction in payout of 1 coin for the four of a kind more than makes up for the extra payouts on some of the other hands.

You're almost always better off finding a Deuces Wild game that pays 5 for 1 on a four of a kind, but you should never settle for a game that pays less than 4 for 1 on a four of a kind.
