John Grochowski

John Grochowski is synonymous with the word prolific. John is a gaming expert who has written about gambling and casino games in virtually every medium one could imagine. He is both a syndicated columnist in newspapers, as well as an internet article writer. His articles have appeared in most of the major gaming-related periodicals and magazines. Mr. Grochowski is also a best selling author of books on slots, video poker and craps.

Mr. Grochowski came to the gaming world by chance. He was a copy editor for the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper when he was chosen to write a weekly gambling column for the paper. This column met with a warm reception, and it was not long before the column was being syndicated for papers across America. Grochowski wrote the column for the Sun-Times until 2004, when he parted ways with the publication. His column continues in other newspapers via syndication.

Mr. Grochowski's first book was Gaming: Cruising the Casino with Syndicated Gambling Columnist in 1996. He followed this up with his popular series of "answer" books. Each one gives readers all the answers about a specific gambling topic. The first one of these was The Casino Answer Book, a 1998 publication which was a broad overview of casino gambling for beginning players. This book was received well enough that Grochowski was called on to write answer books more specific to casino games.

The Video Poker Answer Book was published in 2000, which tackled the growing video poker phenomenon. The Craps Answer Book followed in 2001, which is a favorite among dice gamblers. This is a book for advanced gamblers and those who spend long hours around the craps table. The trilogy was completed in 2005 with The Slot Machine Answer Book.

It's ironic that Grochowski waited so long to write a book about slots. Slot machines are considered his specialty. He has written an online column for years detailing every aspect of slots. He is a regular contributor to Slots Manager, one of the premier slot machine publications. Mr. Grochowski also writes for magazines like Southern Gaming and Entertainment, Midwest Gaming and Travel, as well as International Gaming and Wagering Business.
