Joker Poker - Jokers Wild Video Poker

Joker Poker is a similar game to Jacks or Better. Joker Poker differs mainly because it's played with a 53 card deck instead of a 52 card deck, and the additional card is a joker, which acts as a wild card. (A wild card substitutes for any card in the deck in order to create a paying poker hand.) The addition of the wild card increases the odds of getting a strong hand more often, but the pay tables also reflect these new odds.

Jokers Wild is also one of the only games where a "Five of a kind" hand is possible, because of the wild card.

Payout Percentages in Joker's Wild Video Poker

Common versions of Joker Poker offer payout percentages of between 97.19% on the low end and 100.65% on the high end, making it one of the rare casino games where a player can actually have an advantage over the casino. The 100.65% payback percentage is only available on a "Kings or Better" version of Joker Poker with an appropriate pay table, and it also requires play with perfect strategy.

Jokers Wild is more popular and common in east coast casinos, especially in the Atlantic City. It's also a popular online variation of video poker.
